Winding down my day..had a fun time meeting Dylan Morgenroth's (Rachel's bbf) family and sharing Easter Dinner with them! Thank you for inviting me! The weather is unsettled, one minute rain, sprinkles, sunshine! I agree with who ever said at the Easter dinner, that this type of weather makes the colors of the plants, trees more vibrant! Chatted with Tea (and Jasper). Tea looks beautiful! And Jasper is too cute for words! I have two adorable grandsons!! The photo of Jasper that was shared is just amazing! Now that I have my laundry going (on 3rd load), part of garage floor mopped. Time for some down time... Getting to bed later than I planned...kindle time then light out..note to self...light with a timer for reading in bed....if I move to turn off the light my spot is taken over by as many 4 legged kids that can fit! Ttfn

Work is hard labor! I believe we could have come much closer or even reached our goal if it was not for the glitches in the MPOS's. Merchandising without the stock search is hard! Way too many tiny numbers. Today I (and 2-3 Team members) worked on open stock paper, paper stacks, scrap book albums. Then moved onto ribbon by the spool while the MPOS's were down. Started canvas but the shelves didn't fit. That was to be fixed later on tonight. Moved on to fine arts..lots of paints!! Then it was time to go home.  I got to role play with two newer Team Members on the registers and cutting counter. The opening leader really liked how I role played at the cut counter and the one TM nailed how to handle it! It was awesome.  Yesterday it was yarn! Lots and Lots of yarn!!! So pretty!  Home dec fabric comes in tomorrow. Going to be tired and sore I'm sure!  Not sure what my role is going to be in the new store. I am a full time Team Member. The other full time

Emptied out the hall closet...now Rachel and her friend are over ripping carpet..sounds pretty tough. Just the hallway and closet for now..then we will finish what the dogs started in the kitchen!! ttfn

Yesterday (Sunday) on the cutting counter and registers! It was fun! Got to play Team Member and customer. I played difficult customer! And the I'm not ready customer at the cutting counter. Just trying to be real. Then at the registers I returned some fabric (pretend) then got back in line again and got a different TM and tried to return the same fabric again so I could get money to buy the remnant I now had! Team member did real good! She called an MOD to assist her. And other TM were being those customers who want everything price checked and the ones that after they get ringed up..start taking things off. ttfn

I wasn't late this morning! YEAH! When I got to work this morning a TM let me know I was supposed to have been at work at 6 am..ummm..I didn't get the memo! I later checked my cell phone messages and sure enough I got a call asking me to come in at 6 am. Sorry!! My cell doesn't work in JV. So I guess I was kinda late and kinda not! lol My locker (#18) would let me lock it but not unlock it!!! what a pain! Those fancy key pad locks are ok till they don't work! And just hope the key/fob thing will work in opening it! I was asked to  assist the OTL in getting the office, break room and back rooms, registers, cutting counter up to store standards. That means making sure all the legal posters are up, things labeled, spill kits. Fire extinguishers checked. Emergency exit alarms working and signed off. I want to eat them!! Did some more registering. Went with two workers and picked up the 3 ft end cap and some shelving etc. for the happy store. box shaking again! Came home. Went to my friend and hair stylist's Premier Jewelry Party! box shaking again! I had fun! I only knew one person there! Jene! (have met her mom briefly at Chop Chix Salon). And I came home broke but not broken!! Now I'm tired and have to get up and go to the "other job". box is silent. WOW...can I start the day over again!!?? Or at least this morning! I left the house about 45 mins before I had to be at work and was 5 mins late (I need to check on that time)! And since I was late to the huddle I got to clean the bathrooms at the end of my shift. Plus got a talking to from the boss. Said I set a bad example for the new hires. And that being late will not be tolerated. I am making note of this so to remember the talk with the boss on this day the first day of Spring, March 20, 2013. Weather..raining and traffic was gnarly at the Churn Creek exit off of Hwy 299. Had to go right and make a U turn so I could get onto Churn Creek! Not taking that route again! Plus that time of the morning there are way too many school buses out, lots of stop and goes. Today we continued working on profiling pogs. What can I say..shake my head...One MOD says one thing.."looks good to me!"..Next the Visiting MTL say's hum...Don't know, just not right..he brings in

Don't know where to begin... I'm tired and sore. Today at work (my 2nd day of setting up a new store) I was working in a two person team, setting up shelves. Never mind that I or my Team member never used a hydraulic lift (we learned on the fly). Now the pallet of 13 in wide, 4 ft long shelves stood taller than me and had a slight lean to it. Anyway...I hate when someone asks or tells you something and when you try to answer or explain another person jumps in and sorta kinda chews you out in a nice way...why are you doing it that way?? duh...never mind..getting tired of trying to defend/explain myself to this person. So just nod and look dumb.  Someone else jumped in and moved the pallet across the store for us. Thank you! I really don't know how to explain the next of what I saw.  Here is the picture...74 year old woman on her knees putting together endless wire baskets, putting in the dividers etc. She also has osteoporosis. This woman usually works 3-4 hours shifts.

Zara is on my Sh*t list today...This morning I heard a scraping sound (I'm still 1/2 asleep) thinking it was Kat's cat playing with her toy. When I finally realize it's not the cat, I get up, open my door (it was ajar),  I see Zara chewing the wall!!! She put a hole in the wall!!! These PIO's are costing me way too much! Literally eating me out of house and home!!! Sonko thinks I am beating him up!! He is so clumsy! I leaned over to pet his side at the same time he decided that he needed to inspect his underside real quick. He ended up smacking his muzzle into a door! He cried out a tiny bit while taking off running. I found him and tried to check his mouth, of course he has to cover all his teeth with his lips!! So there I am on the floor trying to pry his lips off his teeth in his open mouth.  His mouth looks ok..but he gives me this look like "why?? what did I do???" Sigh...Got love them!
