January 24th, 2010 - Java's injury

Sitting here holding an injured puppy. Java was playing with her sisters and flew off the recliner, her landing was not so good. She screamed and she did scream. She was so scared and in pain she crapped on her self. So far it seems her wrist is injured. I hope not broken.

January 25th, 2010 - Java To the vets

Lynette dropped Java off at our Vets clinic. I got a call at work around 8 am from the vets office to confirm what I wanted done with Java. Later Dr. called and said two bones are broken and the best treatment would be surgery but he knows how I feel about that, with what happened to Java's mom (see earlier post). So he did his best in setting her tiny bones and they looked good. Java is home from the vets now...Poor thing. Has to be confined to a crate (unless held) for the next 8 weeks. She goes back in a week for a cast check. I got to see the xrays.(before; after the set and after the cast was put on) Same spot as her moms breaks. My vet got both bones set nicely back together. We are hoping for no surgery. Time will tell. The bones that broke are tiny and have the lest amount of blood flow which when damaged can disrupt the flow and cause tissue death including bone.

Fountain ideas!

I was given a bamboo fountain (backyard style)...I was brain storming with the gift giver on where to put it..I think I have the ideal spot!!! In the backyard...where the potted hydrangeas are at. But first the hydrangeas need to be put into the ground (have a few kids who can do that!). I will take photos of the job. List of needed items : Oil Pan metal mesh wire cutters weed cloth shovels kids to dig holes Pizza to feed kids extension cord something to hide the cord lots of rocks Fountain with pump

Christmas 2009!

WOW! It was a heart filled time! My Dad, Vanessa, Sal, Lynette and Rachel all here! Plus Kina, Taz and Lily dogs! My house was overflowing with lots of love and fur! We got to see Virgil with his Christmas gifts (Alysa and Micheal too!) And the Nutcracker show by TEA aired from Turkey! With comments by Chase! It was soo funny! I could have watched those two for ever! I was almost done with sewing up the pj bottoms for my family. I had the appliqués on the tee shirts to match the bottoms. Just needed to finish the waist bands and hem. The trouble happened Christmas Eve. I was sewing up a storm. Then it happened. The dreaded suck the material down into the bobbin casing...this has been an on going problem that has never been fixed over the years, even though I have it worked on many times. I unplugged the machine, stood up with it on my hands and called for Rachel, to take it off my hands NOW before I toss it out the door. She did. My Children gave me an item I have been wanting before

Humm...been waiting for the "big" storm that was to hit last night! Brought in lots of wood for the stove. Rachel and Joey are at their High School dance tonight. Lynette will be picking Rach up on her way home . Rachel and Joey. While waiting: (I have the weekend off!!) Rachel and I worked a little bit on the garage! We can move around in it better! We also brought in my ceder chest, not good for it to be in the garage! Moved the cans and plastic water bottles (empty) into the new metal garbage can. Drilled holes in the old plastic can (that was fun!) to turn it into my compost bin on wheels! I will take a photo of it later! While doing the garage stuff, the washing machine was going (it still needs to be leveled!) Then moved inside: Cleaned up the house a bit. Set up my digital photo frame! Set up an account with Kodak Gallery. Now I'm just relaxing in my pj's surfing the net, watching Star Trek (the new movie) drinking orange juice mixed with milk and crushed ice.
