It was one of those roller coaster days. Is there an award for acting while at work? Acting like everything is just peachy, going well, smooth sailing, humming along, no cares, nothing bothers... The job duties went great..it was the other mind game type baggage that was not good. sooo... The dogs got extra play time with me tonight. Sonko is getting better at playing fetch, he now races Zara for the ball and brings it back, sort of. One step at a time for him. ttfn

Merry Christmas! This past Monday I was informed my manager/team leader position has an expire by date of April 11, 2013 (or when old store closes down for good and new bigger store opens). I am finding myself in several states of mind, from depressed despair to bring it on, a new adventure. Also thinking of renting out my house to Bethal church. I heard they are in need of housing. Heck I would sell it to them if they pay what is owed on it. Humm I will look into seeing if I can rent my house out and I find a trailer house to rent that allows dogs. If anyone reading this has a job or a way to make some money at my age please let me know. Ttfn

October 24 and 25 were my days off....Got sick on the 25th. Worked while sick (not always the best idea). I made it and was happy (not really) to share the virus that hit me...most at work already had it and since it hadn't been very long since it appeared with in the ranks , the virus should not have mutated that much so my co-workers who shared, should not get it again. Worked 7 days..now I get two days off to try to fully recover before I leave for Alameda next week!! I am taking the train!! I have not ridden in a train in oh so many years!! I my teens..train to and from Reno with my parents!! lots of snow! The last train I was on as an adult.."Skunk Train". I remember the relaxed feeling on that one! ttfn

okay..it's late and to get ready for my diy home fixit task I did a google search on electrical outlets. I was prepping to replace two that are on connecting walls in the living room. While I was reading though fyi's a light bulb came on (in my head) and I thought humm...wonder if the two outlets are connected to the one in the kitchen behind the microwave...All the outlets in the kitchen are GFCI (?) with the red/black buttons. (I think there are 12 in the whole house?, I need to count them again!) I pressed the buttons on the non working outlet, nothing, then I pressed the one about a foot away and it did it's thing then went back to the dead one and it clicked! Plugged in the micro into that one and working!! But not the outlet where the mico was plugged into is not working...pressed the red/black buttons and now it works again. Went to the living room and yep both of those outlets now work!! YEAH! This house has electrical issues and plumbing issues!! If something go

Today is more training for Sonko and Zara..here at home (part of the homework they have). I still have to figure out how to attach the fur (faux) to the dowel ... Busy day for me and the pups today. My day off and lots of cleaning and training to do! And no photos since they ate my new little camera. Unless I use my cell phone or video camera...humm...an idea!  ttfn

I mailed my absentee ballot yesterday! I voted and that is that! Except one thing...I realized late last night..how did I mail it with out putting on the required postage!? It was one of those days yesterday. Sigh....On the positive side...at least I voted early and it should be returned to me in time to resubmit! Or just maybe the voter register will pay for it?? I know..dreaming. ttfn

Got home around 10:45 pm. Got my middle finger of my right hand stuck in a piece of ex-pen I use on the front porch to keep the kids corralled on the porch.  Fed the "kids", cleaned up a paper mess. PJ's on...now I sit here streaming CSI Miami, on my Roku, reading on FB, and email with a tall glass of ice water. Lights dim, relaxing. THEN!!!  A rude awaking and instant pain! The cat with no warning jumps onto my back...all four paws/claws stuck in my back/hip. Now my middle finger throbs and I have 4 sets of puncture/scratches.  Now to try to get some sleep..have to be back at work at 5 am. My bad on that, I switched with a co-worker. I took her Sat closing but I didn't check to see what my schedule was for Sunday...I did try to switch for a later time but that didn't work out.  I'm getting too old for this. ttfn

Took Sonko to his first lesson in lure coursing! He did the alligator roll while on the lead. Then he saw all the yummy cow patties and horse patties!! So many new and yummy smells and tastes!! When we got his attention on the lure...he chased not the lure but the person jogging with it! Caught up and said HI!! Can I give you a kiss with my patty mouth! ? He loved all the people there, was more interested in them then the lure. Well the patties were his favorite. We have home work. And lots of it! Zara didn't go this time. I need to get another crate..Mine are all too small!!  Sorry no photos. I got to help out a bit before I had to leave. (have to work). ttfn

A gas cap that is! With the price of fuel going the way it's going, I thought it was time I used the locking gas cap I purchased this past Spring. The safety flap on the neck of my fuel tank is broken from when someone siphoned fuel from Lucy about 3 years ago.  I know, I should have gotten a locking gas cap then. ttfn

Sonko is still not so good with a leash. But getting better! Had to leave him a trail of liver brownies to get him to the car!! We went to Nick Grill for a hamburger patty for Sonko and a banana/strawberry shake for me. He gave the owners kisses and tail wags!!  His burger patty was cut up and in a paper bowl. Next we went to the bank. (Used the outside atm.) Happy Tails Barkery was next.  He met a small dog and a kid, and adults, beside the workers. Bought more liver brownies. Sonko got to try on some shirts. Clothes shopping was little disappointing, very good selection but the sizing! The mediums were way too small and the large is WAY too big. Sonko needed a size between! But I spotted the NFL shirts and  the medium fits him, for now. :o) After clothes shopping we stopped by my work to say hi. Sonko got to meet lots of people. I carried him since he is not supposed to be in there. Zara was happy to see him and of course she rolled him in the dirt with his new shirt on!!  But then w

Sonko and Zara are wearing collars made of soy! At least they are taking to the collars better than the all in one leads I had on them two days ago. Poor Sonko curled up in a ball and whimpered with the above leather lead/collar combo.  I tried to set him at ease by having Simba the happy boy with him..no Sonko ignored all around him, he was down and just about out. I got him to stand and watch me with Zara. Zara was like what the heck is that!? I called them from different points in the yard (with liver brownies).  Zara, "yes liver brownies!" But I'm stuck..oh, not really stuck, I can move!!! YEAH!! I can run!!! Nom nom nom, yummy liver brownie. Run some more!!! Look out! Here comes Cricket the cat! She is chasing Zara's leash! It was funny. All that going on, Sonko was stuck, least he was standing. Now alert to what was going on around him (no longer going down into depths of despair). He wanted a brownie!!!! Another tooth chipped..I bit down on the piece..and chipped it again! I had 3 that were going to be repaired now it's like 5???? I need to stop grinding my teeth at night..ever since this store move etc...and all managers had to submit their resumes in hopes of still working in their position with the new larger store. It has been taking it's toll on me. I still don't know...was told I have the months before the move to be more well rounded and take charge...My STL is trying his best to get all of his/us assistant managers to know each others jobs really well..so we can just step in and take over that position when needed. The MTL, she is also helping me (she is 2nd in command). I am so grateful for them. In the mean time I have been submitting my resume to other companies as a back up plan. ttfn

This is how my "kids" sleep when I'm on the computer and streaming with Roku. They make me smile! The "cow" is one of Sonko's favorite stuffed toys...inside joke, just saying he "really" loves it. Then there is the Toy stash. The kids like to hunt and then gather their toys..sometimes I will find them piled outside and then find them all back inside again!  ttfn

Every time I bath Sonko, he whines, talks, and does this growl thing...not really a growl more like a talk combined with whines. But when I pour warm water on him he quiets down. I made the mistake of pouring luke warm water on him and he did not like that!!! It has to be very warm!! lol Now Zara, she is fine with getting a bath. Both are learning the dremel for their nails. I also figured out some collars for them to wear when we go out...Both hand made out of leather for my CC's. Again, Zara was very accepting of the collar, where as Sonko..had to catch him and then pin him down (slight exaggeration) to "collar" him! All but one were too small!

The photos are not  professional..and the pups have been playing, digging and rolling in the dirt. I don't have a lawn..I have red clay dirt. They are 10 weeks and 5 days old today. Waiting to give them their 2nd puppy shots so they can go to Conformation Classes, Lure Coursing training and Puppy Class. Sonko sighting the kitty. Here kitty kitty kitty come and play!! While I'm on the computer and the puppies are not running around they are under and around my computer chair! Now I have 3 on the floor and 3 on the couch and one is where ever she wants to be. Opps woke him up!! Go back to sleep, sleepy head! ttfn

Yummy! I made this tonight! One each of Angel Food and your choice of regular cake mix (I used lemon). Mix into a dry container. 3..2..1.. Mix into a microwavable mug: 3 table spoons of the cake mixture 2 table spoons of cold water 1 min in microwave (high)     Next time I have ice cream in the house I will top it with that in the mug! September 2nd, 2012. What a fun day! First work, get off at 3...fuel up and head to my daughters house. Then head out to pick up the most beautiful, sweet, loving Peruvian Inca Orchid puppy dog ever! A conversation with my daughter Lynette..she was expressing getting another dog. Sierra is getting up there in age. But, Sierra is not fond of all dogs OR puppies. She only likes her few (my Simba and Layah). While at Shannon's home, we played with the puppies outside and then inside. My daughter really liked the coated female, "Princess". And who could not like her!! Yes we ended up taking them both home! Loaded the puppies in the back of "Lucy" and headed out. While on the free-way, Lynette said get Princess!! She is by my feet! Lyn was driving! I pulled Princess up and onto my lap..that is where she stayed till we stopped for fuel. After putting her on my lap I used my cell phone for light to check on Sonko. Who is in the kitchen messing around with the Magic Soap dispenser?  Its dinging (with light) and dispensing dish soap! Turned on the kitchen light and at first saw nothing...maybe the thing is going bad...oh..there is goes again! Ding/light, soap...and a black cat tail! The tail is swishing back and forth just enough to not be seen when approaching the sink. The blind is down so can't see the cat that is attached to the tail. Silly kitty. Now she has a soapy tail! She is not happy with me after I rinsed it! ttfn

This day started out ok..then went to so so, then bad and then really bad...then it stared turning around ...on the way home.. The best was seeing photos of my puppy Sonko!! Shannon sent me some photos to put on her website. Rainshadow Farm Ahh puppies!!! Perfect ending to a bad day!! ttfn

Wish I could start this day over..at least the beginning and middle...the ending is good! I got to crop and scale puppy photos!! And some were of Sonko!! Go to TNG Kritters blog to see them!!  Was taking photos just for the heck of it of the nekked kids... What's that sound? and What sound? Willow..what was that light? Willow's mom...Cherry Berry Willow's grandma -Layah Layah who gets stuck in the kitchen, I put down pads so she can walk on the floor better but she still gets stuck and Willow pees on them!!
