Keeper of Odd Hours

WOW what a day this started out to be. First I was 1 1/2 hour late for work!! Thank you S for getting things started till I got there. What an air head I was (am?). I was bummed about being late all day. Then I had a customer who was told we could custom cut her hd foam. I had to let her know we can't do that, she was not happy. Despite that, I guess I did okay with the customers. One customer over the phone said she owed me a box of See's candy. Then later another customer in the store said I deserved a box of chocolates! THEN still another customer was so happy she said she wanted to buy me lunch and changed it to dinner for helping her out! So why do I still feel like I had a bad day? For dinner...a chili polish dog! with nachos as second course and a cup of Peets coffee. Winding down with April 13, 2012 by chipping a front lower tooth on a sucker! Got home around 10:30 pm Friday evening. Fed the dogs, tossed laundry in dryer, took out trash, fed the cat, started the fire....while tending the wood stove with one hand I used the other to play with mei mei, she was very playfull. So to get her away from the stove I reached over to grab a dog toy from their stash. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the tiny pink critter they love..but what the...wow that's a real looking toy, feathers and all...it was a dead bird snuggled in with the rest of the "babies". It was still warm. Must of just died and one of the dogs brought it in after I let them out after feeding. No, I didn't take a photo. I was too concerned in keeping the dogs away from it. In thinking back, they knew it was there! I did see them gently checking out their toys while I brought in the wood. That is the 3rd dead bird. One was stuck under the hood of my car..well smushed.
